Estimate power cost for any 3D print.
Enter wattage, time, and your kWh rate. Share the link so collaborators see the same inputs.
Tip: Use a smart plug for accurate wattage, or pick a preset to stay close.
Formula: (watts / 1000) × hours × rate.
Assumptions & tips
- Use average wattage during print (heaters off during travel, so presets help).
- Minutes are converted to hours automatically.
- Cost excludes standby/idle power; add a small buffer if you want overhead.
Examples
- 220W · 10h · $0.12/kWh → about $0.26.
- 300W · 6h · €0.30/kWh → about €0.54.
- 120W · 4h · £0.28/kWh → about £0.13.

FAQ
How accurate is this?
It’s as accurate as your wattage and rate. Using a smart plug makes it precise; presets keep you close.
Should I include standby?
If you want total power cost, add a few percent for idle/heat soak. The examples are active-print only.
